While recently reading about a rather well known band sueing a rather well known head of state, which is all well and good. Quite frankly I didn’t care, but I started to read the comments anyways. About 2% of the comments had anything to do with the article, and about 98% was a major debate on whether MGMT were “Corporate Rock” or not. Of all the things these people could be arguing, they were arguing whether or not a band was “corporate” or not. Why does it matter if they are on a major label? Shouldn’t people be more against theives and hypocrites, rather than an imaginary genre?
